EC New Logo: Wrong Timing, Unprofessional, Increase In Expenditure.

A new story trending Ghana indicates that, the Official Electoral Commission - Ghana, has finally approved and endorsed it new logo. And the masses seems not to be happy about such move by the commission.

Hearing the story today reveals that most of our leaders are only perpetuating themselves with that five letter words, POWER.

I can now testify, rumors in Ghana stands to be true in the later. This is a whole state, country, nation and institutions like the Electoral Commission is very sensitive in the eyes of the masses.

The question, most are asking is, WHY THIS TIME? Its may sound unpleasant though but I guess the chairperson of the commission in a way needs to hear the plea of the masses.

What worry me most is that, the deputy chairperson or whatever announce to the whole public that the EC is not after a new logo and some few days later they officially announce again to us about their happiness of having the new logo making them officially an independent institution. An institution which is run directly from the coffers of the economy.

In fact this is the very first time I have seen a country's institution's logo with no symbol of identity and they claim is the best. A logo borrowed from a foreign institution, with same design and symbols which is not in anyway related to election. In fact it portrays nothing about election and doesn't speak well of the country.

The Electoral Commission says its new logo, which has generated hue and cry, represents a unified purpose and vision, and ultimately demonstrates the Commission’s independence he Electoral Commission says its new logo, which has generated hue and cry, represents a unified purpose and vision, and ultimately demonstrates the Commission’s independence.

“The whole identity represents a unified common purpose and vision and demonstrates our independence as an institution,” the Commission explained in the brochure.

he new logo, which emerged in April this year, was criticized by Ghanaians, as they wondered why the EC was introducing at an election year. The logo, which comes with blue-black background with what appears to be eight abstract humans with their hands up.

It later came up that the new logo looks like that of a Turkish educational institution; something that caused a section of Ghanaians to demand an explanation from the designers on whether the logo is original, copied or modified for the EC.

Many interpretations were given to the controversial logo with some claiming it is an embodiment a wheel of fortune and that the colours represent the various political parties.

However, the Commission has given a different interpretation of the new logo, which approval is unclear. Prior to its official unveiling, the logo was used in its official brochures.

The EC explains that the circles in the logo represents unity, singular and unified in its purpose which it said is “our democracy”, adding the blue of the circle also represents the stability and independence of the Commission.

“The inward moving arrows reflect all the people of Ghana and equally coming together for the common purpose- the right to select their political leadership,” the Commission added.

The red, gold and green colorus, it said, represents Ghana.

Increase In Expenditure.

Now for expenditure, just the logo changed alone will affect most of it services.
For example, all assets across the country with the old logo will be branded to suit the new. Also various document may be modified before it us.

Which will definitely result in an increase in expenditure from basically the tax payers money.

Ahh anyway this Ghana and equality has a mark.
So God guide and help us.

U-TURN: EC does not have new logo – Deputy Chairman

Mr Amadu Sulley, Deputy Chairman of the Electoral Commission (EC) in-charge of Operations, says the Commission has not reached a conclusive decision on whether or not to change its logo.

He said what appeared in place of its original logo during  the EC’s public engagements last week was an intent.

He said the EC had not formally approved it to be used as its substantive logo.

Mr Sulley said this at a capacity building workshop for media practitioners on election reporting and highlights of Constitutional Instrument (C.I 91) in Tamale on Saturday.

New EC logo stirs controversy

The Electoral Commission (EC) has redesigned its logo and would soon launch it ahead of the November elections.

The decision by the election’s body to change its logo has, however, been met with disapproval from some media practitioners.

The current EC logo has a black star in between two eagles at both sides of a shield with a hand in the middle casting a ballot, which at first sight gives one an idea of what the Commission’s function is.

It also has the inscription ‘Transparency, Fairness, Integrity.

The new logo on the other hand has a black background and it's round in nature with round spots which are green, yellow, white, and red in colour. It gives no idea about the job of the EC at first sight.

Some media practitioners upon seeing the new logo for the first time at a capacity workshop organized by the EC on the November polls queried why the change in logo.

But an explanation by the deputy commissioner of the EC Georgina Opoku Amakwaah that the move is part of a re-branding exercise did not go down well with the participants of the workshop who opined that the new logo looks foreign and charged the commission to revert to the old one.

Oheneba Ntim Berima Venerate Apostle Dr. Eng. Kwodwo Safo

Oheneba Ntim Berima, CEO of Soul Health and Wellness Center, popularly known as the "organic man", venerate Apostle Dr. Eng. Kwodwo Safo - the Founder and Leader of Kristo Asafo (Mission of Ghana), also the CEO of Kantanka Authomobile, during the 35th annual technology exhibition which was held at Awoshie a suburb of Accra, Ghana.

THE GENESIS
"I was subjected to disgrace, poverty and debt. You invested in me, and am here for accountability. I am pleading on behalf of the Living God to start with His own words from the scripture, that is Psalm 116.

Brethren, I had the opportunity to be ordained as a pastor by Apostle Safo during my youthful age. I was then the branch pastor for Juaben-Ejuso-Mamapong-Nsuta Kristo Asafo church.

HIDE AND SEEK
With my own best of knowledge, I decided to further my education without a prior notice to Apostle Kwadwo Safo. From there I started encountering various challenges unknowingly. I come to Accra during vacation holidays, hide myself from Apostle Safo but all attempt failed. And anytime I want to take my dress from Agyeman (a church member of Kristo Asasfo from Bompata Branch) who was then at Taifa, I meet Apostle and as well promised me to come back after my education.

I turned away from Apostle Safo and the church. I then had a call from my mother one day asking me about my engagement with the church. Upon denial she insisted me to go back to church henceforth. And that happens to be the last few words my mum kept insisting until she passed away. I knew God was drawing me closer towards him through men but I was then refuting.

WORK AND CHALLENGES
After my education at University of Ghana-Legon, I became a teacher for a while then later went into the media industry starting from Hot Fm a local base radio station, but for Christ sake, the more I strive hard to work, the more I accumulated debt. And that lead unto me an insult from one young man who I was owing as at the time. I then realized am valueless after all the education and knowledge.

THE TURNOUT
I  heard a voice instructing me to go to church. Unfortunately, it was friday night when I heard the inspiration so I made ALL N preparation to attend church service the next day. But to my dismay, I was sacked by my fellow members upon my long stay out of the church. Later, I called one close associate (popularly known as Kotoko) to inform him about the incidence. Kotoko then  informed Apostle Safo about the situation and upon request called me but I denied the request.

Upon attending one birthday party held by Apostle Dr. Kwodwo Safo and His Kristo Asafo church, Apostle called me through the multitude and asked why am I refusing to attend to His calling. He then told me about my arrest due to the profession I have undertake. Exactly a week after Apostle's warning I was arrested by the Food and Drugs Authority of Ghana.

I then realized I will be in trouble if I don't seek for consult. So I decided to pay Apostle a visit. When I was asked about my coming, I only said to Him I was there for guidance and counselling.

THE BREAKTHROUGH
Apostle Kwodwo Safo then gave to me Ghc 300.00 wrapped with a white handkerchief. As I received the amount I realized in my little intelligence the number three (3) means luck and protection so such is what I have received, I said to Kotoko.

Kotoko advised me not to use the money but rather keep it safe for a miracle will come to pass. With the money still at my possession, I gave Ghc 100.00 to one blind man and kept the remaining safely.

I had a call from one 'Anglo gold ' boss who then gave me Ghc 20,000.00 to support my business. Numerous donations and support were received thereafter. But don't forget Apostle Dr. Kwodwo Safo only gave me Ghc 300.00."

6 Simple Ways to Make Yourself Happy Every Day

1. Be confident. Being confident about who you are is the first step to happiness. Recognizing what you love about yourself first will make you much happier to be in your own skin. Start by making a list of all of the things you love about yourself, whether it's your free spirit, your work ethic, or your shiny hair.

2. Recognize your flaws. Confidence is the key to happiness, but if you're so confident that you don't recognize where there's room for improvement, you won't be seeing your real self and may be an unpleasant person to be around.

3. Be grateful. Never forget how lucky you are to be you. If you spend so much time obsessing about your flaws and things you want to change, you'll never be fully happy just being yourself.

4. Don't forget to laugh---ever. Laughter is a common remedy for all ailments, and you should always leave some room for laughter in your daily life. No matter how dire your life may seem at a given moment, never forget to take a break to laugh. Not only will you feel better, but you'll live longer.

5.Love your body. Feeling good about your body can go a long way in helping you be happy with who you are. Paying more attention to what you eat and what you do for exercise can dramatically change how you feel about your body, not to mention how it looks.

6. Be happy with your hobbies and interests. It's important to be happy with your job since it may consume a lot of your time, but it's equally important to have hobbies or interests to pursue outside of work so you have something to look forward to and so you can be a more well-rounded and interesting person.
